Unit 1 demolition
Information on the demolition of Unit 1 for future development.
Phase 1 works begin week commencing 16 June 2025 to remove the outdated blue corrugated unit and brick tower on the Shrub Hill Industrial Estate.
The demolition and site clearance will take up to eight weeks. For safety, temporary closures of the nearby footpath will be in place. This includes a closure of the path from the main entrance of Shrub Hill Industrial Estate to the pedestrian crossing, which is also being upgraded as part of wider public realm improvements.
Clear signage and diversion routes will be in place to keep disruption to a minimum, as well as a temporary crossing.
Access to all businesses at Shrub Hill will be maintained throughout the works. Occasionally, the entrance to the lower yard will be reduced to one lane between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm. On these days, onsite banksmen will manage traffic flows.
