º£½Ç»»ÆÞ draft Local Habitat Map
Explore the draft Local Habitat Map and find out what would be the best actions to take to recover nature where you are.
Disclaimer: The Local Habitat Map is a guide and shows suggested actions (‘Potential Measures’) for nature recovery. It is important to undertake site specific investigations and seek expert advice and the necessary permissions before starting work on the ground. The Local Habitat Map should not be treated as definitive but as a tool to help plan and coordinate action for nature recovery.
A Local Habitat Map is a statutory part of a Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS).
The purpose of the map is to:
- map the most valuable existing areas for nature (º£½Ç»»ÆÞ’s ‘Areas of Particular Importance for Biodiversity’)
- map the areas that could become of importance for biodiversity if the right actions (’Potential Measures’) are delivered in the right locations
The draft Local Habitat Map formed part of the public consultation for the draft º£½Ç»»ÆÞ LNRS. The public consultation has now closed. The content of the draft Local Habitat Map remains valid until such time as the final º£½Ç»»ÆÞ LNRS is published.
