Please be advised that we are currently experiencing technical issues with the national Blue Badge system. Whilst we aim to process all applications within 20 working days, these issues may result in some applications being delayed beyond this standard timeframe.

Important information

• your Blue Badge is clearly printed with a start date and an expiry date
• you may apply for a renewal from twelve weeks before your badge is due to expire
• if your organisational Blue Badge is about to expire or has expired you need to Apply for an Organisational Blue Badge
• a Blue Badge is valid for three years and costs £10

Before you start

You will need the following to renew for your Blue Badge:

• proof of any automatic qualification for a Blue Badge
• a colour passport quality photo if your appearance has altered since your last badge was issued 
• you may be asked for up to date medical evidence of your disability
